LaGrange College Science Building Tour

Hello Everyone!

Due to Spring Break we had to change the date for the science building tour and experiment at LaGrange College.

The new day and time is Thursday, March 30 at 9:30 am.  We will meet at the entrance of the building on Park and Vernon.  You can park in the Vernon street lot.  Dr. Pomeroy-Black has agreed to show us around the exciting new building and labs, and then conduct a small experiment with the students.

Because she will need to get supplies ready, we will need a number count.  Please email me at melissaawesomesauce@gmail.com and let me know you plan to attend and the number coming with you to the tour.

I need to let her know the count by Friday March 24th.  Please respond by Thursday March 23rd.

Thank you!

Standardized Testing – Deadline Reminder

Hello WGHSA Members,

Testing time is here! We had a wonderful group last year with very few problems during testing. Let’s repeat the same this year. The only difficulty last year arose in that we didn’t have enough testing administrators. We have very good students, great parents and wonderful volunteers and a comfortable facility in which to test. It is very easy to follow the instructions of the test booklet and administer the test. Please consider helping this year even if you haven’t helped before. I know we all enjoy the hours away from normal daily lessons but testing cannot happen effectively without an adequate number of testing administrators.

We will be testing using the Stanford Achievement Test 10(SAT) this Spring. We will be testing the last week of April, April 24th-,25th & 27th. We will not test on Wednesday of that week. The Olive Plants Coop meets on Wednesday using the same space at Rosemont Baptist. We will test on Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday. We will meet from 9-12.

We will be testing grades 2-12. We must have at least 3 students in a grade level to administer that grade level. In the case of 9-12th grade, if we have 3 or more for the group we will administer the test. I am adding this guide line simply because it is a more efficient use of time and space if we have at least 3 students.

I need testing administrators. I must have enough administrators to test each grade level separately, except for 9-12th grades. If we do not have enough testing administrators I will only be able to test the required grade levels 3,6, & 9-12. I will also need volunteers for childcare for smaller children of testing administrators and volunteers. If you will be available to help please make a note below in the Testing Ordering Information.

Cost: Payment: Checks or Money Orders only made payable to BJU Press. PLEASE NO CASH

The cost of the testing is as follows

2-3 grade $39 each

4-12th grade $29 each

Testing Ordering information – Return Information and payment by February 25th

If you plan to test your student(s) please complete the attached form (Standardized Testing) and mail with payment to the address below.  If you would like to assist and are not testing your students, you may copy, paste, and email the attached document back to Dawn May at dawndonald@charter.net.
