This is a reminder about our meeting Thursday night!
The topic is “How to juggle- the homeschool life.” Come ready to talk, listen, and be encouraged. These evenings of fellowship always help to refresh our spirit and renew us.
The meeting will be held 6-8pm at Mandy Daniel’s home: 108 Timberwick Trail (off of Sims Rd) in Hogansville, GA.

Mrs. Debbie Burdette is looking for a few volunteers for the Leggin’ It for Literacy 5K on October 14th. The time frame would be about 6pm- 8pm. They especially need race marshalls that would be out on the race course directing runners and cheering them on. This is really short and sweet volunteer opportunity, open to 12 years old- grandparents. Please let me know if you are willing to help with this race at email@example.com.

Thursday, September 28th is the RSVP deadline for the Friday, October 13th – SIFAT (Servants In Faith and Technology) Field Trip- 10 am CST
Learn simple solutions to world-wide problems: After beginning to understand the difficulty of meeting basic human needs through a tour of SIFAT’s Global Village and Urban Slum, participants are taught simple and practical solutions to the challenges they have faced. Students receive hands-on training in appropriate technology that give simple solutions to challenges like malnutrition, water pollution, and smoke inhalation. www.sifat.org.
Appropriate for all ages. We will tour the global village, picnic (bring your own), and make items such as a water filter, an oven, and a nutritious snack.

I have just finished processing all of the membership applications that have been received. We have not yet deleted any users that have not renewed their membership for the 2017-2018 year. We will start that process in about two weeks. Attached you will find a listing of current members. If your name is not on this list and you would like to continue your membership with the WGHSA, please submit your application and membership dues as soon as possible. If you have submitted your application but do not see your name on the list, please let us know that as well.

Homeschool Day will take place on Saturday, September 9 from 10.00am – 4.00pm. Families are welcome to visit with us anytime during the day to experience life in the ancient Biblical world! We’ll have bread making, weaving, pottery, and so much more for your children to learn about life in the ancient world. biblicalhistorycenter.com
Price: $10 per Adult and $6 per child. **You must present the attached webpage ad to be able to receive the Homeschool Day discount. Arrive anytime after 10 am and stay as long as you want. Pay at the door. Note: this is a public event and we will not be the only participants.
